Can anyone help me with this error or tell me which header file I could use in place for this one Are you trying to compile some Borland C++ based source code The header files are not the same between Borland and Visual C++ compilers. VC++ has <memory.h> though - which is probably similar in terms of functions. ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Usb Flash

I was wondering if it is possible to install the .NET framework onto a usb flash drive to be run on any computer that it is pluged into. For instance, I am currently unable to run .NET applications at school and would like to be able to, unforunately they do not have the .NET framework installed and refuse to install it. I am looking for a way to use some sort of portable media to store and run the .NET framework on, i.e. Cd, Dvd, flash stick, etc.... Thanks for all the help. Sorry, this is not a supported scenario. It is not possible. ...Show All

  • Architecture Testing a server for Dual Core vs Single Core with/without HyperThreading

I need to get a CPU count for licensing - i have a 4 way dual core that the OS reports as an 8 way - for licensing i care about sockets not cores - does anyone know of a way to get the socket count of a server Thanks As far as I know, there's no way to tell the different between two cores and two CPUs. You might be able to tell if HyperThreading exists; but that won't necesarily tell you how many socketed CPUs you have (e.g. if you have two dual-core CPUs it would appear as 4 CPUs, if you assume only one CPU when hyperthreading, then you'd miss one CPU.) ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Express Editions Registering and licencing

I have registered my version of visual web developer installed from CD but I have not received the product key. as I can obtain it The licence expires between a year... The CD that shipped with your book is the same as the ISO that is available for download, which is the same as the version that you get with the web installer. Some of the pieces that install by default will be different in each case, but the product functionality is identical. Thanks, Scott Currie DDCPX Program Manager Microsoft ...Show All

  • Visual J# TreeMap and TreeSet bug

Hi I believe you have a severe bug in java.util.AbstractTreeMapImpl that is effecting both java.util.TreeMap and java.util.TreeSet. This bug can be easily recreated by just adding and then removing a large ammount of items from these collections. The remove() operation results in an exception, and, in some cases causes full consumption of cpu. This bug occurs both in Visual J# 1.1 and 2.0. "bug form #1" causes a more severe results than "bug form #2" and eventually causes a full consumption of the cpu (with iternum=1000, for example). Looks like it causes an endless loop in java.util.AbstractTreeMapImpl.remove ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Team System Estimating Project Size/Cost

I've read the MSF white papers on how to estimate project size. The MSF way is to estimate it bottom-up. I've come to a problem where I need to estimate the project size as early as possible. Do you guys have any experience with this kind of problem I'm not targeting for a 99% accuracy, just a range for low-high limits. Thanks! You can try to estimate project cost/schedule with any Cocomo II tool. Start from here to obtain more information: http://sunset.usc.edu/research/COCOMOII/ ...Show All

Hi, I was just wondering what type of animal, and why the Nox 3.6 has totally invaded my ecosystem. Thanks  Well I am not sure about this, what I would really like to see is an advanced terrarium and a beginner terrarium. but you know that is only a wish and I know it would take an act of some higher ups to aprove  ...Show All

I tried both with System.IO.Directory.Move() and Scripting.FileSystemObject.MoveFolder() buth neiother worked! Any hint Thankyou! Good deal. • SQL Server DTSProperty.GetValue

Hi,    Seems a pretty straightforward problem however, I have now spent some time on it. I have a DTSProperty object and want to get its value. I am able to get all the other attributes like Name, Type just fine. The GetValue method on the DTSProperty class takes a object and returns a object. If I want to get a value of the current property what do I pass to GetValue I have something like foreach ( DtsProperty property in controlFlow.Properties) {    string propName = property.Name;    //I want to do this     if(property.Get)       property.GetValue( ) // ...Show All

  • Smart Device Development Thread Priority

Hi, Can I know if it is possible to change the thread priority while it has been started If yes, how I did try to change the priority...but it gaves me Exception (InvalidOperation). Talking about game programming, for example, I have one thread as main while another one to load the file.
