  Hello, Can I monitor SQL Server system tables like sys.objects or sysobjects using SQL Notification Services or any other method I need to get a notification into my component when there is a chance to sysobjects. • Visual Studio Team System Manual unit tests

  I have some unit tests that need user interaction to verify that the correct results happen (e.g. for testing plug and play events). These unit tests are obviously not suitable to be run automatically by a build machine. I thought the manual unit tests might be appropriate to address this but they appear to be little more than a document with no actual code that runs. • SQL Server Exporting text file and populate it as table using SQL

  Hi, I have a problem, I have some text files in the server. I have to export that file and read it line by line and then cut it into fields and populate it as a table in SQl with SQL commnads. Could you anybody help mw with some hints, any relevent readings etc.. How can i use sql framework for this If you have control over how the text files can look like, I would recommend using the FOR XML and XML Shredding mechanisms (OpenXML, nodes() method). • Visual Studio Team System I cannot get source code links in FxCopCmd report

  I do not have any problem with getting correct link to the source code in "Message Details" box when I am running the analysis from FxCop GUI. However, when I run analysis from command line and then load the report to GUI, the only thing I am getting is <Location not stored in Pdb> The difference between command line and GUI is that I use environment variable to point FxCopCmd to right assemblies. I also load the report to compare, but I do not really see the reason... Any idea why I am having that problem Thank you for helping. • Visual Basic Return key stroks lost

  Hi, I have been struggling with this issue for quite a while and still don't have a clue. Any help is highly appreciated. My main program is a MDI parent form. It contains a pannle holding a treeview on the left, and another pannle for hoding MDI child form on the right. My problem is, for some reason when the child form starts, it can receive any other key strokes except Return (or Enter) key. When I hit return nothing happens. My keydown event handler for the form never stop in debugging mode when I hip return. But it does stop when I hit other keys.   But I have problem with reporting services. Could you help me For exemple, I have some informatins who don't appear in my report. For example, I have a list of agricultur who are ranged in three different groups( A,B or C). I want to put their names by grouping them in their departement and their town. Then, a second group on the departement And finally, a group on the town. But agriculteurs can have a departement and no town, that's why I put them under the departement, and before, the towns of the departement.   I have a number of reports for which it would be useful to allow users to make use of the office web Components to allow them to maniplulate the data and then export it to excel.. But as soon as i click the Excel symbol to dump out the pivot table to excel i get the error message; "Safety settings on this computer prohibit accessing a data source on another domian." Now i have been into Internet Explorers Tools >> Options >> security and enabled the 'Access Data sources across domains' on my computer (in both the internet and intranet zones) but it still pops up.. and wont let me export to excel Any ideas.. anyone.. ...Show All

• Visual Studio Express Editions Arraylist and recursion problems revision

  Ok I am new to this c# stuff. I have used c++ for a while and have to say that this new c# thing is pretty nice. Ok here is my problem. C# doesn't have vectors so I am using an arrylist instead. I don't know if you can set a type or not but I haven't. I store a list of files that I am recursively compiling as it runs through each directory. I was stupid and created a new instance of the array list each time I recursed. So I figured I need to make the arraylist global, but I don't know how to do this.   This would seem to be a simple task but I can't seem to find a way to do it except to implement some seriously complicated Windows MenuEx API stuff - All I want to do is insert a horizontal divider in a combo dropdown box, to give visual separation between groups of items. My purpose really is that the items in the box will be fluid, except for a certain set of items which are special items that will always be there.   Hello!   I will give 1 million kisses to the 1 st person to clarify the following issue I have a VSTO project and a WebService project. I can send data to the WebService and retrieve data. Both of the projects are linked on my pc and everything works. The thing is that I need to export my VSTO project to lets say machine A (in my toilet) and my WebService project to machine B (over in my attic).
