Windows Forms RichTextBox - Font Changing
Is there a way to change the font of the selection in a RichTextBox without change the size of the selection and vice versa Example: I have 2 words with different sizes, I select them and change the font, and the size of them not change (Like in Word and WordPad). This is not possible with the RichTextBox because the SelectionFont property takes an instance of the Font class which requires both a font and a size. ...Show All
.NET Development EventLog.WriteEvent
Hi, I would like to write errors for my application to the eventlog with the error icon so that its easy to see whats an error and wants an information for my log. Today I use . WriteEntry ("myMessage...") witch is no problem , it generates a message entry with an information icon in the event log. So far so good... What I understand is if I want to write an error I have to use . WriteEvent to get the error icon and read about this but what I dont understand is the part with EventLogMsgs.mc (a resorce file) I dont find any sample how to create a resorce file and how to use it in a VB.NET 2005 Windows application. Visual Studio Express Editions MRU List doesn't reorder correctly
Hi. Is it just me, or does the MRU lists in VB 2005 Express never reorder When you create a new project it's placed as #1 and the old ones are moved down once. So far, so good. But when I click on e.g. #2 it's still #2. It's never moved up to #1 as expected. C# 2005 Express does this correctly, so i guess it's a problem with VB. Visual C++ MFC porting
"Hello world", i would like to know if somebody can suggest me the best way to port a MFC application to UNIX/LINUX system. My application is a MFC 7.1. Thanks Lewix If you end up doing this, you may want to consider wxWidgets or Qt as the framework for the *nix port. Or you can run on the WINE emulator. I don't know the viability of these approaches. Just giving you some ideas for you to google on. Is there no way to emulate the use of Blue Tooth on the Pocket PC 2003 emulator Seems the ROM simply doesn't have this capability built in at all. Was a little surprised by this. Has 2005's emulator been beefed up to allow emulation of this service I see the thread was broken 2005 and I don't know if this is the right place for my problem. hi, i added another rule class to the existing project and i extended the same base class (in which i have given the xml file name) that used for other classes. But when i loaded the rule in FxCop i got the message "Error loading rule 'MethodsShouldBePrivate': Rule 'MethodsShouldBePrivate' does not have an XML description present." Other rules get loaded correctly but this shows error. Plz help me out with this. SQL Server Reading more than 1 set of files using Foreach Loop Container
Hi, My requirement is I have to read 2 sets of files from a folder. For example, I have to read all files starting with either 'a' or 'b' only. In 'Foreach Loop', if I say 'a*,b*', it is not working. Instead of comma (,), I tried colon, semi-colon and pipeline characters also. It is not working. So I am using 2 loops now. Is it possible to programmatically send the User Name, Password and Domain when doing network file IO functions I am creating an application that appends information to a text file located in a shared folder on our network and would rather not have the operator enter the information using the Pocket PC Network Log On dialog box. Visual C++ how to format a two or one digits number in a two char string?
Ok, maybe this is a very stupid question but wich is the cleanest way to convert an int to a System::String with always at least 2 chars... Now, I do this: String* convertTo2CharString(int num){ if(num<10) return String::Concat(S"0", Convert::ToString(int)); else return Convert::ToString(int); } I suppose that with the String::Format, I can do it with one line of code but I don't know how. SQL Server Comment/Uncomment keyboard shortcut changed .. grrrrr!!!!
Call me old-school, but I happened to like the one-key Shift-Ctrl-C and Shift-Ctrl-R methods of commenting and uncommenting T-SQL code. I've tried to see how I can set up my own macro's to give me those key combos back instead of the double-the-work ctrl-K + ctrl-C and ctrl-K + ctrl-U keyboard short cuts. The k-c one is the worst because it takes two hands to type it, but the two fingered k-u isn't much better. Can someone tell me how I can override or augment these so that I can get these two familiar short-cuts back. I don't care if I have to override something .. whatever it is, it's not nearly as imporant as this to me. ...Show All
