  • System Center Where to put MOM

We are in the process of installing MOM and I was wondering where the best place to put it. Can it go on an AD or Com server. Is it best to put it on a dedicated machine. Thanks When you use the MOM Model Wizard, it will provide a topology based on MOM best practices. If you are managing a small number of servers, you can chose the "Attempt to consolidate roles on to one server" option in the Mo ...Show All

  • .NET Development Expiration of Dlls

Hi, I am a new comer to c# and .net. I am currently required to solely maintain a c# and asp.net based web application. My ex-colleague who worked on the application says that the dlls will expire this month end. He says he has set expiration dates and this is locked in an encrypted file. To decrypt and remove the expiration dates, he has to come in person, use his active USB card and unlock the code. I don't understand this. Can somebody ple ...Show All

  • Windows Forms Possible to run a SQL Script at the end of a ClickOnce setup?

Is it possible, and if so how, to run a SQL script at the end of a ClickOnce setup. Thanks Scott The best solution I can think of is to have your app do it when first run. Basically, on startup, have a routine that detects if it is properly setup, and if not, goes through those setup steps, like running the script. You can also have a flag in the user settings (Settings page on the Project Properties) to ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Getting RID of Just-In-Time debugger

Hello all. I installed Visual Studio, and had no problems. Except one. The Just-In-Time debugger. It seems to come up all the time now, and it has broken Winamp AND Cakewalk SONAR 5. I tried disabling it in Visual Studio's options, but that doesn't stop the pop up and the subsequent shut down of the program (which did NOT happen before). Any ideas ...Show All

  • Smart Device Development Which lib is _DllMainCRTStartup found in?

Converting a project from eVC++ to VS 2005 caused me to begin having the problem: unresloved external symbol _DllMainCRTStartup I am purposely referencing the symbol, but it wasn't a problem before. Has the lib where this is included changed Thanks, Zack Thanks. That's all helpful information. My (hopefully) last question regarding this issue, then, is this: Is there a smooth way to put the libraries in the app ...Show All
