• Visual C# Sorting problem with GridView

  Hi, I have problem with sort when I add a GridView like below (a panel called Panel must exist). When pressing the sorting links on the displayed gridview I get a "The GridView 'gw' fired event Sorting which wasn't handled. " If I do this in design mode, connecting to getDataSet and set AllowSorting to true it works. Why doesn't it work when I'm trying to do it dynamically I've tried to implement a handler for the Sorting event but don't really know what to put there. If I put nothing no sorting is done. • Visual C# regain control

  I have a form with several components. After I selected options from couple of listboxes i then click on a button to perform an infinite loop. my problem is that while the application still running, i want to make a new choice of my option, and then hit the run button again. but since im application is in a loop it doesn't response spontaneously to my action on the form. What is a good way to solve this kind of problem you have to consider BackgroudnWorker component in order to execute task in child thread and keep main thread responsive. • Visual Basic Deskband disappears on next login

  My deskband (Taskbar) object is disappearing the next time I login. If I leave my deskband object on when I logout, the next time I login my quick launch area too we be gone. Ironically the annoying language bar will always show. I found a nice article on codeproject on how to implement a deskband using c#. The article from codeproject seems to borrow alot from an article on msdn (kbbar.net). I based my project on the code from those articles. • Visual C++ Code formatting?

  I need to format aprox 850 C/C++ files to all be the same. I was thinking at first I could do this with regular expressions to pull the information I need, then format a little bit at a time. However I cannot think of how this could be done since code could be written in many diffrent "formats". One regular expression would not work on everything Does anyone have any ideas or samples of ways I could possibly go about doing this Or even a program I could use rather than building one Thanks. • Visual FoxPro VFP to show UPS tracking info.

  Hi; I have a place in my app where I populate a grid with various info including a txtbox that stores a UPS tracking #. I'd like to make this 'clickable' so it opens up a web browser to show the ups tracking info from the UPS site. I would need to do the same for fedex. I have no idea where to begin. • Visual C++ C1083 Permission denied

  Hi, I'm getting this C1083 Permission denied error when I try to build an application (console type) project A which includes files from another project B (static library type). The B project includes files from a math library C (GSL). When I build the static library B, I have no problems. The problem is when I try to build A, and it complains about having permission denied to access a folder which turns to be the folder containing the .h files of C (included by B). • Windows Forms Button Image Layout

  I am trying to put an image into a button and have some text below it, and I can get close, but not quite there. If I set the background image, then the Layout is available and I can set it to Zoom. The problem is getting the text to properly appear below it. If I set the image, then Layout is not available and I cannot Zoom it. Ideally, it would be nice if the Image had a Layout property that would allow for Zoom. • Visual Studio Team System No workspace exists for the given Team Project

  I get the above error when trying to set up a new Build Type for a Team Project I just created. I was able to successfully create the project and the corresponding source control branch, as well as add a solution to it (which successfully was added to SCC also). All of the workspace mappings between my local folders and SCC seem to be valid and working.  It does not seem that the workspaces it is looking for are the same workspaces as these I suspect that this problem may stem from the fact that I had previously created a project under the same name and deleted it using DeleteTeamProject.exe (successfully, or so I thought).   Hi, I'm relatively new to TFS and from what I have seen so far it looks great. I have a question for you all though. As a developer it is easy for me to log bugs / enhancements (aka WorkItems) by using the Team Explorer from inside VS 2005.   Hello, I make use of automatic data binding for my datagridview. I display some informations about an person in my dgv. Everythink works fine, but then I replace a TextBox (the content is an int value) with a ComboBox to select values from a valuelist. After I start my application follwing error appear: DataGridViewComboBoxCell Value is not Valid I searched the msdn forums, their was told to change the AutoSizeValue to "NotSet", but that does not help.
