Visual Basic VB.NET :IMPORTANT QUESTION!!! please answer if you know
I finish a project in vb.net, and i compiled it (in Release option). Now, it has 5 MB (aproximate) from my HDD(with the dll,exe etc.). When i execute, it takes ~34-38 MB from RAM (is huge, i think). Whay try to make a simply windows application project in vb.net with a blank form and compiled him->run and look or RAM ocupated...is mutch i think You may have clients running win98. I think it's important to remember that technology has moved on. I don't hold Microsoft responsible for moving ahead and leaving technology behinf that's almost ten years old. ...Show All
Visual Studio Team System Work Item Virus Protection
I am working on a web site that will insert new work items in TFS and allow the user to upload attachments to that work items. My question is, How does MS recommend security for the uploaded work item. Will TFS try to execute that attachment in any way or just store it. SQL Server Problems with Lookup task and dates
I’m trying to make a Lookup transformation with a relation on two string columns and a between dates condition set by parameter: select * from (select * from [dbo].[RgnErhverv_Ansvar]) as refTable where [refTable].[Opretdato] = and between StartDate and EndDate where the second parameter is my Date column (FakturaDato_konv) . Visual Studio Team System Test Lists from RC1 do not work in the release version of VSTT
Using the RC1 build of VS Team Suite, I create a test list (in the Test Manager) and drop all of my unit tests into it. After saving the file, I load the solution in the release build of VS Test Edition (on a VirtualPC image.) When I look at the Test Manager, I see two copies of every test. One set is associated with my test list, but the tests can't be found (they aren't associated with any test project.) The other set is visible, is not associated with the test list, and lists the correct test project they are located in. SQL Server Push Merge snapshot fails with Data is Null message.
Hi, I'm converting a replication script from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005. I am getting an error with push merge with no way to figure out what is wrong. I've configured replication on a single XP server in SQL 2005 RTM version. I have a push merge set up between A and B and between B and C. All 3 databases are 9.0 compatibility. The snapshot and merge jobs for the A to B run fine with no errors, and merge replicates ok. From the posts in this forum, I understand that Express Editions are free only till November 2006. Hi, I am looking at the xml for the process definition and there seem to be a few changes from Beta 2 to Beta 3. One example is "MetaData.xml" and "MethodologyTemplate.xml" seems to be replaced by "ProcessTemplate.xml". Are these changes documented somewhere I really need that information... Also - can someone explain the number 1 in the "Guidelines for updating the form section" which is described in the Task work item definition file (both for Agile and CMMI). Visual Studio Team System Check In Policy to ensure that code builds
Is there a way to configure TFS to require that changes being checked in must produce a succesful build You do have to enable code analysis in those projects as well. Otherwise the policy will fail even if your build is correct. You can find the code analysis option in the project options window. Or you can let all the projects conform to the policy by right clicking on the solution and choosing: "Migrate Code Analysis Policy Settings to Solution". Hope this helps. ...Show All
SQL Server SELECT in a table takes FOREVER
SQL Server 2000, QA Database: A table called Telephone_Directory with just 4.000 records. SELECT * FROM Telephone_Directory is taking forever. If I stop the select after 1 second I see 162 rows. If I stop the select after 1 minute I see again 162 rows. Why this could be happening The same querie on Production Database is taking 6 seconds to retrieve the 4.000 records. That's a bit odd. First thing I might try is reindexing the table... perhaps there's an error of some sort in the index structures. Since it's a very small table, reindexing should be very quick. The ...Show All

Hi, Using: VS Team Suite RTM I find that the localisation isn't working. I installed VS Team Suite with English - United States selected in regional options in control panel. I changed this to South African. I rebooted the pc. Tried to run a report with currency formatting and it stillr eturns US$.
