  • Visual Studio Identifying newly checked in files

Is there anyway I can identify newly checked in files (say from a specified date such as date of the last build) Thanks in advance! Simple solution is that take recursive history of the project by checking the the "include files history", it will give you the list of all latest checked in files. Further you can also refine your approach by giving the time span, "From" and "To" ...Show All

  • Smart Device Development .NET -> .NETCF

Does anybody has some really good resources on how to migrate a .NET application to run on .NETCF. The MSDN gives little help on how to do work around for issues like Threading (Wait, PulseAll) which is only supported in 2.0 Environment.Exit etc. Thanks in advance for any help Roland Hello Daniel Thank you very much for the reply. I browsed the OpenNETCF SDF and found the MonitorEx wh ...Show All

  • Visual C# No parallell to the Java card layout in C#?

I've been programming some Java previously. In Java there are different layouts which you can use for an application. One of them is called "Card Layout". In a card layout there are a number of cards/windows. Only the top one is shown and all of the others are not. (Like a deck of cards). Is there no parallell to the Java "Card Layout" in C# Do you have to use a TabControl I'm developing a NETCF 2.0 application so I ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Team System Running diff. test lists under diff. testconfigs?

Doesn't look to me like there's any built in way to do this based on the TeamFoundation .targets file implementation, but I thought I'd check to make sure I wasn't missing something. The reason for this is that I have a set of tests that can be run inside of the regular test host and then a set of tests that have to be run inside of an ASP.NET host. Not to mention other settings like the deployables are diff. between the two. The test task is ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Team System 26201 Error

Hi All, I've been trying for a couple of days now to install VSTFS Beta3 refresh, I've followed the suggestions for this error 26201, but none seem to be working.  Is there any more detail as to what this message means exactly, and how to get around it I am installing single server, on a windows 2003 workgroup server for test purposes. • Visual C++ subsitution of msvcrtd.dll by msvcrt.dll by patching the application, how to

Hi, I have ‘inherited’ the xxx.dll library for an in house developed product. Unfortunately the library has a dependency msvcrtd.dll. As I do not want to ship the msvcrtd.dll with this product and as for some technical reasons I cannot easily rebuild the xxx.dll, I wondered whether it would be easy to substitute the msvcrtd.dll by the msvcrt.dll I checked with the dependency walker for entries used by xxx.dll that are not avai ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Error 1304 when installing .NET Framework 1.1

Hi All The installation of .Net framework fails with the error 1304. "Error writing to file: Microsoft.Vsa.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory". I see the directory %WINNT%\Microsoft.NET created and that file "Microsoft.Vsa.dll" present in it when this message occurs. I'm running under Windows XP SP2 and the partition is formatted as FAT32, so I think there should be no problems with access rights. ...Show All

  • Software Development for Windows Vista WWF Beta 2 install problem (again) - Package Load Failure

Hi, sorry to be a pain with another install problem but I am at a lost and can't find any specific issue in the forums for what I have.  I have gone through most of the relevant problem solving techniques to fix the issue but none have worked so far. I have a system with Visual Studio 2005 on it as well as 2003.  I installed the Windows SDK and the WinFX runtime (latest for each) and then I installed the WWF extensions for VS 2005 w ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Express Editions Date within a cell: which month is it?

ok, here's the problem: i'm using VB.NET 2005 beta 2 all working nicely. i've made an app, debugged it and it runs all nice from the normal exe. but when i went to publish it, it seemed to work all fine until the installation page opened. i try to launch it but it says the "application is improperly formatted". clearly it isn't because i have run the bin exe many times. now, not only does the publishing not work, but when i go back to run t ...Show All

  • Visual Studio Targets won't execute twice?

I've heard (or read) that targets can only ever execute once.  However, if I have a simple target with just a message element (display just text), I can call this Target multiple times no problem.  So there must be something more to it.  Does it have to do with TLDA or batching or both " I've heard (or read) that targets can only ever execute once" They only execute once per invocation of a sin ...Show All
