  • Smart Device Development .NET CF 2.0 Picturebox

I'm currently developing a graphics Pocket PC 2003 application using MS Visual Studio.NET 2005 to overlay an EMF image on top of a bitmap.  I know that metafiles are not supported in .NET CF 1.0 and the Picturebox control gives an 'ArgumentException' when you try to display it.  Are they supported in .NET CF 2.0   I'm curious because when I run the executable from the 'Release' folder in the application directory on the Windows XP desktop, it displays the bitmap and the EMF, but gives the following error when I run it on a Pocket PC 2003 device (HP iPaQ):  An error message cannot be displayed because a ...Show All

  • SQL Server Lookup Transform with Variable Parameter

Is it possible to use a VARIABLE in the Lookup Transform I am setting the cache mode to partial and have modified the caching SQL statement on the advanced tab to include the parameterized query, but the parameter button only allows me to select columns to map to the parameter. I need to use a variable instead. I see the ParameterMap property of the transform in the advanced editor, but don't see how I can use this to map to a variable. Can this be done, or do I need to use a new source, sort and left join component to accomplish the same thing Thanks! Brandon Brandon I don't believe this can be do ...Show All

  • .NET Development Refrerenced memory at 0x0000000c could not be "read"?

Hello all you nice people out there in 'Sanity' land, First - a message from my sponsor: 'For the record, I'm no computer wiz. And, I also do not know all-a-da proper terminologies either. This is stated before someone ups and decides to send any defamatory e-mail my way. Thank you.' You may now return to your regularly non-scheduled e-mails. Ah, hello again. Now, sledge-in-hand, let's have it. I had installed the VisualBasic Express, oh, about 2wks ago. A very short time thereafter I got an error message. It read, reads, as follows: aspnet_state.exe. • Visual Studio VS 2005 and SourceSafe 6.0c

I've been using VS 6.0 for years and this all worked so seamlessly, so I'm really disappointed that I'm having such a hard time with this. In VS 2005 (from my workstation), I create a new website on my development IIS server.  I want to add the entire site into SourceSafe, but when I do, it says:   Microsoft Visual Studio cannot add FrontPage Web Sites to source control. Use Visual Studio to save all Web Site files. Then from the web server, use the Windows Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and the Internet Services Manager to add the files to source control. When I go where this message tells me, there is no option t ...Show All

  • Software Development for Windows Vista Should we now replace "MS Shell Dlg" in our .rc files with "Segoe UI",

Hi, I've got a question regarding Segoe UI. I thought this thread would help me regarding Segoe UI. In one of the training class, we were told that apps for Vista should use "Segoe UI" as their font for dialogs . For NT/W2K , people in the past were told, not to use " MS Sans Serif " anymore but instead " MS Shell Dlg " as this maps via a registry value to the proper Shell font which can be switched for the whole shell in one fell swoop. Should we now replace " MS Shell Dlg " in our .rc files with "Segoe UI", or will "MS Shell Dlg" by default map to "Segoe UI" on Vista or is there yet another face name that will map to "Segoe UI" when ...Show All

  • Visual C# How can I detect KeyPress?

I want to make a program that could run in the background and detect any key press even when the program is not in focus. It should be able to respond or at least record the key pressed even when others programs are running in foreground. Does anybody have any idea how i can do it Thanks. You need to use low level Windows hooks.  But seriously, stealing keypresses or evesdropping on keypresses meant for other application isn't a good practice. static int WH_KEYBOARD_LL = 13; [System.Runtime.InteropServices.DllImport("kernel32.dll")] static extern IntPtr GetModuleHandle( string moduleName); [System.Runtime.InteropServic ...Show All
