  Is it possible to migrate vss 5.0 databse to vss 2005 without any problems or i need special procedures or software I'd recommend creating first a backup copy of the VSS5 database and making sure the database to be migrated doesn't contain errors (run analyze on the database), but VSS2005 should be able to migrate the database without problems. You need to run ddconv.exe utility   to update the database to VSS 6.0/2005 format. ...Show All

  I've downloaded the DirectX SDK (Feb 2006) and installed it. But when I try to run the sample projects that use MDX 2.0 library, Visual Studio always report the error "Can't find specified module. HRESULT: 0x8007007E". It works well if I run the projects that use MDX 1.1 library. • Visual Studio Team System How to change the current authenticated user without disconnecting (due to bug in RC3)

  Is there a way from within VS2005 to change the user that is logged into the TFS server   I would think you could simply disconnect from the TFS server and reconnect.  But due to a bug in RC3 you can not disconnect. When I first added the server I was prompted for credentials and because I hadn't setup access in TFS I used my tfsSetup account.  Now when creating projects, etc I am always using this account.  Any help would b ...Show All

• Visual Studio Express Editions Problems with Splash Screen and VB 2005 Express

  I create a default splash screen using Add New item | Splash Screen and then I select it in the project properties. When I run in it the VB2005 environment, the splash screen shows as expected, but then gives an error message: NullMessageException was unhandled . before running the application.   Currently, the Assigned To field in Work Item shows User ID names. We would like to invoke the full name of the users.
