Visual Studio Team System Can't access to the documents
Hi, I can't access the documents tree. There is no permissions problem (I can view the sharepoint site via browser, but not in team explorer). Thanks, Michael The URL used to access the SharePoint site is stored as an absolute URL (i.e., with protocol, port number and machine name) in TFS Registration data. The first thing to check is that the URL that is specified in the registration data actually works from the client machine. Log on to your TFS application tier machine and browse to http://<server>:8080/services/v1.0/registration.asmx Click on GetRegistrationEntries and Invoke the method with no parameter ...Show All
Visual Studio 2008 (Pre-release) OperationContracts and parameters
What are the use cases for the various ways of factoring interfaces using: intrinsic types, XSD complex types (classes), and data contracts For example, which is the “best practice” for the following: [OperationContract] void CreateUser(string username, string password); [OperationContract] void CreateUser(User user); [OperationContract] void CreateUser(CreateUserRequest createUserReqest); I’m used to the ASMX-style method signatures (the first example). However, most of the Indigo material pefers the latter (message-oriented) method. Can someone please explain the rationale for using one ...Show All

Visual Studio Team System How to create a new report and include into process templates?
How to create a new report and include into process templates I just created and rdl, and upload to report server and it has the connection string inside the project, but I would like to put this report on all the projects. How can I achieve that Tks You can modify an existing process template by downloading it, making necessary changes and uploading it back to the server (right-click on the server in the team explorer, 'Team Foundation Server Settings' -> 'Process Template Manager'). This will ensure that all *new* projects, created with that methodology will have your report. However, this won't affect existing projects ...Show All

Smart Device Development stream in vs 2005
Hi, I write a program for pocket pc 2003 in vs8 beta 2. I am using cout,cin,cerr...etc.And i compile without the error. But i can't see anything in the emulator of pocket pc 2003 in vs 2005 Can you explain to me Does vs8 really support stream for pocket pc PocketConsole works for me on WM2003SE. BTW, it is not a CMD shell program. It just displays the output directed to stdout and reads stdin in a cmd like window when a console program is executed. The window closes if the program terminates. So if you have a short lived program you should write something like getchar() before its return statement so that you have time to read the out ...Show All
Microsoft ISV Community Center Forums Diasbling Security settings in Microsoft Excel
Hi all My friend uses Visual Basic Application code embedded in a Excel Worksheet for his application. When the machine has the EXcel MAcro Security as 'High' (Tools--> Macro --> Security) the macro fails to get executed. How to turn off the security (make it Low) from Visual Basic / C# code. Thanks Shasur The right way to go about this would be to digitally sign the VB code. If it's an application that is going to be run on the same machine where the code was created, you can use SelfCert.exe ( Digital Certicate for VBA projects in the Microsoft Office Tools menu) to create your own personal digital certificate; othe ...Show All

Visual C# Wave Recorder - problems with a splitted/joined audio record
I've written a small application to record data from an audio device to a wave file ( based on this article ). A further function is saving/splitting a recording in several files. If I play the files later back, it should sound as one continous recording, but it doesn't. There are short breaks/clicks in between. It seems that the recording function doesn't capture the input properly. You can find my application/VS project here (22 KB): download Can anyone see what's wrong Any help appreciated! Hi Bandman, For this issue, it seems more to be an issue about how to handle the WAV file. I suggest you p ...Show All
Game Technologies: DirectX, XNA, XACT, etc. Is there a simple way to flip a Sprite?
It's been a while since I've posted here (last question I asked was about scrolling a 2D background) and now I'm back with another 2D question. Is there a simple way to flip a sprite horizontally and vertically I started to just make new textures for each of the positions, but then I thought somebody has to know how to do this the right way for 2D games. From what I'm gathering, typically you do some kind of World transformations to flip your game objects around when you normally develop for DirectX (and by normal I mean 3D development), but with the 2D development route I've been going, I've been trying to leave out things like Wor ...Show All
