• SQL Server SSIS will not start after SQL Server 2005 SP1 upgrade

  Hi guys, I have experienced a problem with a SQL Server 2005 SP1 upgrade, where hotfix.exe reported an error during the SSIS component upgrade, and then the SSIS service would not start back up. I have since attempted an additional SP1 upgrade on the server, which completed successfully, however the SSIS service still will not start. The server is running Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP1 with SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition (x86), which had been a clean RTM install prior to the SP1 upgrade attempt. • Visual Studio Grouping on fields which have a space in the table name

  I am attempting to run a 8.5 report in VS2005.  There seems to be a problem with grouping on a field when it's table name has a space in it.  The actual table name is {ccArea Types} in crystal and my dataset.  I get the following message: Error in formula <G_netsf>. 'Sum({ccArea_Types.SM_N_AREA},{ccArea_Types.SORTORDER)' There must be a group that matches this field Notice that an underbar has replaced the space in the tablename.  I have run simular reports without a problem when the tablename does not contain a space.   I have been trying for several days now to get two types of WWF samples to work together: 1) TrackingSample(s) 2) WorkflowMonitor I am able to see the workflow in the monitor, however, the tracking events aren't available until after the workflow completes execution. My impressions and expectations from the documentation are that tracking / monitoring should work together during workflow execution, but in my particular case, that's not what's happening.   Last night the build process failed while initializing the build. I tried to start a build twice this morning with the same results. After checking the event logs of the build machine, I gave it a reboot and started another build which made it to the Compile phase before failing. • Visual Basic Trouble reading bits.

  I am trying to read a byte from a certain address in a file. But, I am trying to read the byte in bit format (bits 0-7). I have tried to use the BitConverter and the BitArray classes but I cannot figure it out. I am pretty sure that BitArray is the one I need but there are no methods that look like they would do anything I want. Maybe I am just missing it. I checked the help section but the examples there were not what I am trying to do.   I have rebuilt the TS application server because it did not install correctly the first time.  My plan was to reuse the TS data server, but I get the following message when trying to install the TS application tier: "Setup has detected existing Team Foundation database on the specified machine.  The specified machine may already be configured to work with another Team Foundation application tier.  If you are trying to reinstall TFS please refer to the accompanying documentation on how to reuse this machine."   I have here also a question for the experts regarding also our server connection which is connected to a dsl line. I have no problem connecting to our server using dial-up, but if I try to connect via internet by supplying the remote with the static IP address for that server. it won't work.   I have VS 2005 Beta2 installed on my P4 2,4MHz machine and now I'm planning to buy a new machine with x64 processor. Can anyone suggest what to buy: Intel or AMD chip.   Hi, We have had problems with a SQL server cluster. As a result of this we have been advised by our SAN hardware manufacturer to replace the Win 2003 servers with Windows 2000 servers. I have replaced one server, and it will successfully host all of the databases in the cluster except one.
