• Visual Studio Dragging fields from Server Explorer onto the design surface fails

  I came across this problem while working through the “Creating a Distributed Application” walkthrough.   Step 12 of section “Process for Creating a Distributed Application”, sub-section “To create a database connection and adapter” instructs you to “Drag these fields from Server Explorer onto the design surface”.   This is supposed to result in a SqlConnection object paired with a SqlDataAdapter appearing in the designer.   Nothing happens, no SqlConnection or SqlDataAdapter objects appear.   Has anyone else experienced this problem and more importantly does anyone know a fix or work around   Thanks.   ...Show All
