.NET Development How Can I syschronize disconnected multiple Databases with their same Main Database?
I am not sure how can one syschronize Multiple DataBases I see there must be PK data collission if data was updated on disconnected Data Location. Is there a way that Pk are changed with automated machanism during syschronization of multiple Data Sources with Main Data Source I think I was not that clear so I should repeat the scenario :) For Example, there are 10 Users located in differnt disconnected location. They get every week one copy from the main database. They work on it and change it according to their need . At the end of week they save back the ...Show All
SQL Server The SQL Network Interface library was unable to register SPN. Error: 0x54b

Error: 0x54b When I click on the link on the event viewer for more info, there is no further details. Can someone clarify what this message means and should I be concerned Thanks Hi, Is your machine part of a domain or just workgroup This probably isn't an error that you need to be concerned about. Visual C# Threading in C#
Hello Everyone, I have a tab application, which initially I made single threaded....I added a dll which has a form. Now when I change to a tab method in that dll gets fired and form comes up, which makes everything else unresponsive.... Whats the best solution to implement thread to solve that problem.... Secondly, I tried doing something this way..... namespace something { public partial class Some : Form { public Some() { } // Then here more procedures } // Here I created another class which fires the method from dll.... public partial class Test { public DLLFire() { } } Now If i ...Show All

Windows Forms binding to a combobox
beta2 seems to be a step backwards from the feb ctp I was using before. When I configre a table in the dataset to the controls I want, sometimes I choose a combobox. When I drag it to the form, beta2 sets the databinding to the text, rather than the selected value. Of course, it displays all wrong. So each time I have to change the databinding to the selected value. Is this a bug dennist That's awesome. I had no idea you could just drag the table onto the combobox. I had been searching on how to do this for almost a day now. Thanks dave ...Show All

.NET Development GC.Collect() freezes for several seconds on gen 2 collection
I have a server application which manages a few hundred thousand objects in a Hashtable. Each object has to be in memory for fast lookup and access. The keys are not changed so the Hashtable itself is fairly static, but the objects are constantly updated via incoming data and read to serve user requests. The problem is that every 5 minutes or so the GC kicks in and freezes the entire process for up to 4 seconds. This is regardless of whether other threads are running, e.g. even if I do no updates or queries, it takes this long just to create all object graphs for collection, even when nothing is collected (i.e. GC.GetTotalMemory returns ...Show All
.NET Development Connection string
hi, can anybody tell me how I can change my connection strings which hold in "project->Property->setting" during runtime to have a dynamic connection string. For a dynamic connection string, you can just create it as a string, then assign it to the Connection's ConnectionString property. If you are trying to alter the string from the property, you can use the provider's ConnectionStringBuilder. Visual Studio Tools for Office Hookup delete event
Hi How can I catch a delete event (appointment) in Outlook 2003 I've tried using the BeforeDeleted event handler but it does not always work eg. when the user deletes the appointment using shift+delete. The add-on I am creating is simple. The only thing it should do is to create an appointment in the user's calendar + an appointment in a shared calendar, when the user clicks a button. My problem is when the user deletes the appointment in his/hers calendar, then the appointment should be deleted in the shared calendar also. Any suggestions Btw...
