  Like the title says... where's the Web dev forum for us ASP.NET monkeys I think some people forget or do not know there are two specific sites for specific .net development I would always consider http://www.asp.net as the primary asp.net forums And I would always consider http://www.windowsforms.net  as the primary windows forms forums.   I have an application written in VB Express and uses SQL Server 2005 Express that runs on my local machine (name JERRY).  I published it onto a CD and installed it on another computer (JKNETWORK) on my home network. I've already modified SQL Server Configuration Manager to enable TCP/IP and Shared Memory . I have also added sqlservr.exe to the exceptions in the Microsoft firewall exceptions list. • Visual Studio Team System build option for web project in Team system???

  hi all, I notice that there is only debug build option that come with Team suite but not release build. there are both debug and release build for profession edition. why is that Kevin koo9, All the usual build configurations are included with Visual Studio Team System. • Visual Studio Rich Edit 2.0 control not found-was working 7hrs ago...please help

  I am having a problem.  I just installed the new version of VB 2005, and I don't know how to format the date. • Windows Forms How to paint row with different background color if any row cell has changed?

  I have beaten my head against the wall trying to find a way to get the DataGridView to let me have a different background color for rows in which any cell has changed (in other words, rows that need to be updated to the database OR new rows that have been added). I have tried many different things, but none seem to work. Any definitive answer on how to do it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.   Here's an interesting question... I've re-made a game called Atoms (was an old Amiga game hehe) as a single player game with a score. Is there any way I can set up a server program on my computer, and then add code to my game so that high-scores can be uploaded to my computer and then viewed by others (If so, I need for the program to be able to show a friendly message when the server is not available too!) • Visual Studio Express Editions Ejecting removable media

  I'm writing a program that reads and write to MO drives and I need to be able to eject the MO disk on completion of certain tasks. Can anyone offer advice on how to do this I guess the same principles will apply to Zip drives (and maybe CD/DVD drives). • SQL Server Package Migration Wizard error -- Index was out of range

  I am unable to migrate any DTS packages, from a SQL Server 2000 package, from a structured storage file, or from a DTS package imported into SQL2005 (Developer Edition, 32 bit).  Running the Package Migration Wizard, every time I get to the List Package screen, i get the error below.  I haven't found any other mention of this so far.  Anyone else seen this error or have suggestions "Index was out of range. • SQL Server Connecting to SQL Server with a login form.

  Hi all, I'm new to VB and VB.net and forms and everything, so please bare with me :) I am constructing an application which is connected to sql server 2000.  What I want to do is have the Login form open upon startup then have an option group where the user states if he wants to use NT or SQL Server authentication.  .  Then I want a combobox which looks up all the current sql servers there are on the network, so that the user chooses the sql server that it connects to. or if that's not possible, just a textbox with the sql server and database name.   I was Invited to be a Windows Live Messenger BETA tester. So I installed it and opened it up. When I tried to talk to one of my contacts there was an error, and it closed Windows Live Messenger.   I'm trying to install Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition Beta 2 and I have been getting this error. I have done research on google and read the readme and tried some of the things it said, but no success.
