  I can't define  a linked server in SQL Server 2005 x64 edition (to a SQLServer 2000 instance). • SQL Server How To Execute an Oracle 10g Stored Proc thru ODBC using VS 2005, for Reporting Services

  Good day! :-) Anybody who knows the syntax for executing an Oracle Stored Proc thru ODBC connection using VS 2005 for Reporting Services I am having a problem about this. I am using the ODBC connection because VS 2005 does not support Oracle Database 10g in its Oracle Database Connection feature (only 7.3, 8i, and 9i), that's y.   Before I start off down this route with Team Build I'm hoping someone can tell me if it is broadly possible and there are no hidden gotchas! I have set up a Team Build Type which builds an entire system consisting of multiple solutions, then runs tests etc, then builds a number of installers by doing an exec call to some msbuild format scripts that use WiX. • Visual C++ Debugger refuses to do anything useful ("No symbols are loaded for any call stack frame. The source code cannot be displayed

  This is native DLL project, with an external managed test driver. However, I don't care about the test driver and have set the debugger type to native only. Everything seem to work just fine until I debug into advapi32. Once I hit the breakpoint just after EH setup in CryptAcquireContextA, the debugger effectively dies with the error message above. The UI still works, but I don't have a call stack and can't even show the registers (Register window reads "No data available" and the expression evaluator refuses any input with "Unable to evaluate the expression." • SQL Server raw file source avoid bad data?

  I want to have a data flow like this: 1. raw file source 2. validate data or conditional split 3. sql server destination there is some bad data in my raw file.  by bad data I mean datetimes that are out of the range that sql server can handle. this should be simple right so debugging script components does not work nice. all the time I have wasted with integration services already. I could have hand written a console c# app to to the same thing I was trying to do with integrations services.   When I boot my system , I get the message that my sqlserver installation is either tampered or corrupt. As a result when I try to restore my system to previous checkpoint I am not able to do so. I selected "New Project" from the File menu and wanted to add a new project to VSS though the add to source control checkbox does not appear in the New Project dialog box.
