Second question: I can't find a document when i define functionality that i will do in the iteration. A document where i define the use case i will consider in this iteration In the plan iteration excel i have the start date, the end date, etc but i don't see ...Show All

  • Nouknitouk WorkItem programmatic migration query

I'm working on a set of migration apps at the moment to move issues from our existing issue tracking system into VSTS Work Items. To maintain tracking information, there are various bits of information I'd really like to copy over such as "CreatedBy" and "CreatedDate" but these are ReadOnly fields in the WorkItem class. I know I could create yet more custom fields to hold this information, but then I end up in a situation where existing iss ...Show All

  • GPolk Convert single server installation to dual server w/hot spare

In particular, I'd like to: - Do a single-server install on machine A - Do an AT-only install on machine B, pointing at machine A for the DT. I know there's some support for having a "hot spare" AT machine - can that hot spare be on the DT machine itself   (If so, it must be done as a single-server install on the DT, since the AT won't install on a machine that already contains the DT).   OK, thanks. What are Areas and Iterations used for in VSTS. The walkthroughs instruct you to set them up But how do you use them Thanks David Areas and Iterations allow you to group work items. Iterations are chunks of time, usually associated with plan-code-test activities being completed for a set of scenarios. The MSF guidance discusses iterations in depth. Areas are a less defined concept. It's no ...Show All

I am trying to define my own work item called Milestone. I would like to associate one or more other work items (like Bugs, Tasks) with this Milestone.
