I'm trying to do a migration and this is one of the errors that I get: Cannot change item $/ECAT/fred/MigrationTest/migration.txt because it already has a pending change that is not compatible. What does this mean As far as the folder not empty message, I think it's because you have a pending add of the MigrationTest folder still. If nothing else, try pointing it a new folder... Kenshin1591 User name in a workitem
When we have fields related to users in a workitem (ex.: assigned to) it shows his Login Name at team explorer. Here, we use ID numbers as Login Names (things like 10001, 140345...). This is obivious hard to track, so we use the Full Name attribute instead of Login Name in our day by day. Sadly, I couldn't find a way to configure this in team explorer. It shows only the Login Name of the users. What can I do Change Login Name of our users is not ...Show All

bradman Programmatic Project Creation via TFS API in Beta 3
I noted that Beta 2 did not support programmatic project creation via the TFS API. When reviewing the Beta 3 SDK, I could not determine if these was now possible, although this feature did not appear to be present. Could someone clarify if programmatic project creation is available now in Beta 3 I'm afraid it is not. We will not be supporting programmatic project creation in version 1 of TFS. ...Show All

Tomasz007 A Source control question for the product group
Please correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that TFS source control is designed for developers only. In a enterprise setting, there are also a lot of non-developers that need to save their work such as word docs, excel work sheets, etc in a source control. The may not be part a "team" and they really don't care about work items, process guidance, etc. How would these folks use the source control or the TFS source control is a wrong choice ...Show All
