Robert Burke Why Cant I enter start date and finish date on tasks work items?
Those fields are disabled by default, and I would like to make some reports if I finish for example a task after the finish time. You can use the witexport and witimport tools found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE to make changes to individual work items. Type in the tool name at a command prompt and you would see their usage. Hope this helps. Rahul (wannabe MSFT) By d ...Show All
Brad Syputa - MS Permission denied when creating new team build
Things seem to be working great with TFS, except that when I try to create a new Team Build, I get this: --------------------------- Team Build --------------------------- Permission denied. I even had myself manually added and had ...Show All

I have a folder in web project that holds uploaded by user image files. I really would prefer that source control would ingnore that folder. Is it possible to do that Thank you The "Web Site" project type does not support the Exclude From SCC feature, unfortunately. This isn't specific to TFS if that matters at all. If you use Web Application Projects instead of the built-in Web Site template, ...Show All
Yogesh Ranade Load Test requests/sec drop to zero
I'm seeing a recurring problem in a load test where requests/sec drop to zero during the test, and then resume normal levels 1 minute and 15 seconds later. The load test has 25 users, starting at 1 and ramping by 3 every 8 seconds - it consists of 2 webtests. I reach a constant user load and everything cranks along pretty well until about 30 minutes into the test. Then reque ...Show All
tbcarver Source Control Explorer
I find the new way of dealing with Source Control in the Source Control Explorer very frustrating. It seems like another case of the tool dictating how I work, rather then letting me work the way I need to. I want organize and include other files in Source Control in a "Non-Solution" way. I have Word Documents, Images, Text Documents, Help Files, etc.. that do not belong to a VS Solution, but I want to keep them under version control ...Show All
CmoreButts Maximum Number of Files in Repository?
An earlier thread hereabouts ( http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPost.aspx PostID=2316 ) implies that version 1 of Team Foundation might struggle with a huge number of concurrent users/and or files, and that version 2 will "include all the scale work to run servers as big as we need them". I've seen a limit for number of users in version 1 suggested as 500 ( http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPost.aspx PostID=8764 ). Any limit on the numb ...Show All
