PDCS No migration occurred: No files from solution are under source control
I'm trying to migrate code analysis settings from a Team project to a solution. Only thing that happens is that the message "No migration occurred: No files from solution are under source control" shows up in the VS status bar. The solution file and all the projects it contains ARE under source control. IWe have three Team projects on our Team foundation server. The migration works fine for one of them (first in alphabetical order), ...Show All
Raghavendra Naik TypeNode.GetTypeNode(Type) sometimes throws object reference not set.
I have a number of custom rules some of which use TypeNode.GetTypeNode(Type) in them. Before 1.35 Beta 1 I would sometimes get the object reference not set exception when I was trying to get a TypeNode for a type defined in one of my assemblies. I worked around this by getting rid of TypeNode.GetTypeNode(Type) in all of these cases. Now that I have 1.35 Beta 1, I am getting the exception on types from Microsoft assemblies. Specifically my rule c ...Show All
BadgerB VB: Edit and Continue
I have a problem with Visual Basics Edit & Continue for projects under Team Foundation server, the IDE says its Read-Only even if its checked out prior to debug start. In a non-source-controlled environment it works. You even see the little "lock" symbol on the tab-page with the source code in the IDE on the file you are current trying to edit, so clearly the IDE thinks its locked. Any ideas I have the same situation. What was ...Show All
DDaniel Problem with the report site.
On the team project we setup a report site. For the report site we added TfsOlapReportDS and TfsReportDS. We then added a couple of reports, Bug Rates and Issues. The Issues report is using the data source TfsReportDS which runs fine with no problems. When I open the Bug Rates report in Team System, I get the following error message: An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) Query execution failed ...Show All

chpe Can I have Team Builds without using TFS Source Control
We are implementing Team Foundation Server and one of the main features that we wish to use is Team Builds. However, we are not using TFS for Source Control (we use Subversion instead). We have no immediate plans to change source control providers. We are using the MSBuild tasks for checking in and out changes through Subversion. When starting the Wizard to create a Team Build it immediately asks for a Workspace name and it appears that yo ...Show All
ToshibaT1 Problems with build type configurations and 'Publish'
If I want to build 2 solutions in one build type, each with a different configuration, I just make sure that both of the configurations are defined in tfsbuild.proj. Then the build will attempt all four permutations (sln1, config1;sln1, config2;sln2, config1;sln2, config2) but skip the ones that are not valid for each solution, is that correct Also when I try to publish, I would expect it to do a build first, or do I have to be exp ...Show All
Reagal Run configuration problems
There is an element inside the runconfig file called relativePathRoot . This value holds the path to the solution root, so that other paths inside this file can be relative. When executing tests from within the IDE this value is getting reset properly for the machine the solution is opened on. On my automated build server I am building the solutions and executing the tests from the command line, and apparently when you execute tests using MSTes ...Show All
