We have a set of BVT tests for our website.  The Developers want to run the tests against thier box's.  We (QA) need to run the BVT's against our various pre-production and production servers.  I have parameterized the webserver in all the web tests. Now my question is, How do I run a test run (NOT A LOAD TEST) and override the "WebServer1" Context Parameter   We have 93 web tests in the BVT and changing each one by hand is n ...Show All

  • Greg Kane Team Foundation Server setup: where to find?

I cannot find TFS setup files at the Microsoft | VolumeLicensing (we have "all" MS licenses) site. The best match is "VStudio Team Suite 2005 Win32 English Disk Kit MVL CD"; but there is nothing about Team Foundation Server... I'm not entirely sure I understand the question, but if you have access to MSDN subscriber downloads, you can find it under Developer Tools -> Visual Studio 200 ...Show All

  • Jim TheGreat Synchronizing manual test and application run with code coverage

Hello, I created a manual test and if I run it there opens the page where I can mark my comments about my previosly defined test steps. If I now start the applikation I wish to test (pressing F5) it starts the application and I can perform all test tasks, but I won't get code coverage results this way. If I go the other way, doing the application test, I get coverage results, but do not see the form of the manual test to fill in: I see the probl ...Show All

Whenever I try to access TFS through SQL Server Management Studio I'm receiving "This plugin is intended for older version of Visual Studio. Please use Team Explorer". • Michel Blairon Moving TFS databases to a different server

My apology if this has been answered before. I need to move TFS databases (BidSB, BisDWDB, CurrituckDB, VSTEAMSCC, VSTEAMSCCAdmin, VSTEAMTeamBuild) to a different server. Is there a documented procedure to do this I guess I could copy the databases manually but how do I tell TFS to use the new databases Thanks in advance, Regards, Svega While this is not supported, I am glad it works for you so far. ...Show All

  • Scott Mac Leod Namespace Administrators ?

I find the term "Namespace Administrators" confusing.  What is meant by "Namespace" here   Isn't this really "Repository Administrators"   You can call the same web service methods that gssutil.exe uses.  The VSTS extenisibility kit may contain some useful info http://www.vsipdev.com/downloads/ You can also look at the web service soap traffic between gssutil.exe and the server to ...Show All

  • Moonlight Sonate in C# Work Item Access control based on Work Item Type?

We'd like to give our customers access to TFS for reading e.g. bug-information. Thus we would need a speciel security group that controls this access, e.g. a "Bug-readers"-group. However, what is needed is to define access to particular types of Work Items, namely only Work Items of type "Bug". We don't want our customers to be able to see Tasks or Requirements. How can an access control for Work Items be set up for spe ...Show All
