  • Mark@New Hudson Technologies,LLC Installing on Virtual PC

Just wondering if there was a best practise for installing VSTS on a Virtual PC eg. as far as the server bits go, should I install everything on one VPC (eg. a Server 2003 OS with it's own Active Directory + SQL 2005 + the foundation bits) Would the client bits be better off on a separate Virtual PC instance that can see the server instance or could they all be put on the same one -dave Just so i'm clear, ...Show All

  • kidnapt Import of TRACKGEAR SQL DATABASE into VSTFSB3

Morning all, Is this possible. I've been reading that ClearQuest is possible and their format is of the same nature. Can i get this to import DB: Trackgear Background: SQL We do have a converter to import ClearQuest work items in TFS but the converter works by reading the work items using the ClearQuest APIs. There is no SQL script doing that job. Given that it would not be possible to import work ...Show All

  • mark healy Issue with TFS Warehouse service

Hi, I installed Beta 3 of TFS with Single Server Deployment. Now I receive an error in Event-Log of the server which mentions that there is some issue with TFS Warehouse service. May somebody has some clue whats happening here Thanks and best regards, ...Show All

  • Zeeina Project delete left source folder in inconsistent state

While deleting a project (or actually I think while creating the first team project on the TFS) all the permissions were not set correctly. This left me with an orphan Souce code control folder. I have no other obvious portions of the project but a folder does show up under source code control (it's empty). Is their a means to get rid of this Have you tried TFSDeleteProject /force Brian Does the fo ...Show All

  • Frenske Team Suite 2005 RC - Can't run unit tests when web project is in solution

If I create a solution with only a class library, unit tests run as expected. If I add a web project to the solution in addition to the class library, unit tests will not run and I get an error message like this: "Operation is invalid for the current state of the object." Removing the web project from the solution doesn't immediately resolve the problem but by cleaning, rebuilding, and opening the solution from scratch unit tests will work again ...Show All

  • Nflowerpower No way to update AreaPath dropdown through Microsoft Project

I have resigned myself to the fact that the only way to add new area paths is by doing so manually through TFS.  For example, I can't create new ones and attempt to publish them through Microsoft Project. But why , after having added new areas to TFS, can't I get the dropdown in the area column of Microsoft Project to have the new value in it.  The only workaround, which is pretty close to unacceptable, is to create a new ...Show All
