92Anonymous92 Questions on TFS Proxy
Hi All, TFS proxy allows a remote development team to work against a local TFS server, that automatically synchronizes source control updates with the parent TFS server. In most cases (for the kind of projects we execute in an onsite-offshore model), this would mean that the parent TFS server would be located onsite, and the proxy would be located offshore. I read on the Microsoft site that the TFS server c ...Show All

Merdon ParameterNamesShouldMatchBaseDeclaration
Every time I Shadow a property in VB.net I get this error. The reason is that the argument for the Set method is always cased as Value in VB.net whereas in other languages it is value. There is nothing we can do about it in VB.net. if we change the case it is automatically changed back to Value. It's nothing serious but it does generate noise. Good point and thanks for the problem report. We'll fix this ...Show All

sureshkolluri Team Build - Build Directory?
I'm a little confused as to why the new build type wizard asks for a build directory. You have to specify a workspace and since that specifies a local directory I would have thought that the build would just occur in that directory. Why not just build in place Oh I get it now. Yeah that would be a nice option (build in workspace). I agree that this ...Show All
Pross Deleted Project using TFSDeleteProject but Source Code Root Still Showing Up
I deleted a project using TFSDeleteProject (with the force option) but my VS 2005 IDE Source Control Explorer still shows the deleted source code folder root (with a single TeamBuildTypes folder with a red X thru it). The funny thing is is that if I go to another machine and log in with the same credentials the particular folder does not show up. Looks like there is some sort of hanging artifact on my local work machine that isn't ge ...Show All
Lynn Ayres Problem with Team Explorer focus / WorkItem creation
When you have Team Explorer visible when you shut down the IDE with a Team Project selected it does not fully 'reselect' this project when the IDE restarts. Thus, it *looks like* the Project is selected but it really is not; therefore, it is impossible to get the active Project (needed to create WorkItems) or interact with it even though it looks like the Project is selected.
