  I have installed a DirectShow movie into a window using the windowless mode example provided in the msdn documentation. A movie played with my code renders fine as long as the window hosting it has been moved. If it hasn't, the audio is heard, my time display is updated, but the video render is never drawn into the window.   I'm installing Vista Dec CTP (5270) on a HP Pavilion zd8000 (3.2 ghz, 2gb ram, 7200 rpm drive), and I get a screen that says "completing installation", but then that changes to a screen that says "Installation is taking longer than expected, but should be finishing soon."   Does anyone know how to get around the MDAC check in the Service Pack 5 setup of Visual Studio 6.0 For some reason it doesn't detect MDAC 2.5 or higher which it requires (even though Vista obviously has a later version - 6.0) and the setup will not continue from that point.   I recently downloaded and installed the Windows Server SP1 Platform SDK. I notice that there are MFC include files and lib files in the installation. However, I can't find any lib files for 32-bit applications. As I understand it the library files in the .\Lib\AMD64\atlmfc\ and .\Lib\IA64\mfc\ directories are for development of 64-bit applications.
