vdykcj API Questions
I've run into a couple of issues in my development. Both are easy enough to work around but I'd prefer clarification if possible. The first issue is with the response. I seem to be getting a garbage character at the beginning of my response stream. This is preventing me from duming the response directly into the XmlDocument.Load() method. To verify I wrote a console stub and dumped the stream to the screen and it shows as a " " there. I've wo ...Show All
Michael Tsai COM interface for Live Messenger
We had a full COM interface for Messenger 5.0 - able to control many aspects of the client as well as receive events etc. Does WML have such an API/COM interface It does not seem like it does. I looked through the installed files I got and none exposes any functionality except msncall.exe, but that is for placing calls. I can also not find any documentation that hints it would support it. Than ...Show All

Could anyone tell me how to change status text in VB. Sorry, I am not sure what exactly it called. eg: It shows the song what you are listening in Windows Media Player. The field your referring to is the "Personal Status Message" or PSM. Unfortunately, Messenger doesn't expose an official API (yet) to interact with the current user information (PSM field, nickname, DP). If it's really impor ...Show All

Hatem Rabie Visual Studio Only?
Is Visual Studio .NET 2003 or above going to be a requirement for MSN Search API developers I know it's early yet, however that's the only SDK I see and there's no information indicating anything else will be available. I ask because some of us have been developing API's (Google, Yahoo!, eBay, Amazon, etc, etc) for a long time now. You're going to be missing out on an awful lot of really good developers if you're going to have the r ...Show All

Sam Powell BOTS on MSN
There have been a number of questions about BOTS in the forum in various theads so I thought I would provide this post with a broader update on the topic. The huge benefit of a licensed BOT is that it will have contact limitations removed (the reverse list), so that millions of people could connect to the same ID. Our goal is to enable a broad network of these IM applications ...Show All
