Antzz How to call a web server asyncronously without ActiveX
My article at http://www.codeproject.com/jscript/MSNMessengerActivity.asp shows how to call a web server from your MSN Messenger Activity without using ActiveX. When the update gets added by tomarrow hopefully then it will also show how I simulated a mouse pointer so that each user can see the others mouse movements without using ActiveX. Check them out if you need either of these techniques for your activities. I have al ...Show All

Hi I have a problem with special characters like A O A where used in the searchstring doesn't display the proper result from MSN. I have tried to do a string rewrite replacing the character with it's entity name ie replacing A with "& Aring;" but that gives the same results as if I used A without the rewrite If I then replace A with Aa (same meaning in Danish) I do get some ok results but not the same as if I used A ...Show All

Hi Dare, I read an entry on your blog a while back ( link ) regarding an API for uploading photos and altering the photo albums. Just wondering whether any more has come from these thoughts... ths BOTS on MSN
There have been a number of questions about BOTS in the forum in various theads so I thought I would provide this post with a broader update on the topic. MSN has recently started licensing BOTS on the network. The huge benefit of a licensed BOT is that it will have contact limitations removed (the reverse list), so that millions of people could connect to the same ID. Our goal is to enable a broad network of these IM applications ...Show All

I have a web service that uses the MSN search web service. Vanscarbs Questions regarding MSN Messenger API
Great news! I have 2 questions about the API: 1. Will the API be managed or native I would love to have a managed API or at least a managed wrapper supported by Microsoft (like PIA for Office). 2. Using this API, will it be possible for external applications to send and listen for messages, but invisible to the end-user OK, thanks for the answers - it seems that I have misunderstood the API purpose. 1. The API is not manag ...Show All

AshishBhatt_sys Visual Studio Only?
Is Visual Studio .NET 2003 or above going to be a requirement for MSN Search API developers I know it's early yet, however that's the only SDK I see and there's no information indicating anything else will be available. I ask because some of us have been developing API's (Google, Yahoo!, eBay, Amazon, etc, etc) for a long time now. You're going to be missing out on an awful lot of really good developers if you're going to have the r ...Show All
