b-li! Launching an IM Window via JavaScript
I'm attempting to create a "IM This Page" widget that website owners can place on their pages to let users send their pages over different IM clients. AOL and Yahoo were pretty simplistic, as they register the aim: and ymsgr: protocols with the OS. MSN Messenger on the other hand has been extremely difficult. With older version of MSN, one could create JavaScript objects using the progid's MSNMessenger.UIAutomation, MSNMessenger.M ...Show All

jeymard Web Presence
This is driving me insane. :) I am just trying to see if it is possible to show whether or not a contact is online. The only catch is its an internal SIP connection, but I want external people to be able to see if they are logged in. In my case, I run a CS department, and we all log into Messenger each day, if I could show on a public website the status of my agents they would know how long of a wait to expect. ...Show All
Christian Paparelli API Questions
I've run into a couple of issues in my development. Both are easy enough to work around but I'd prefer clarification if possible. The first issue is with the response. I seem to be getting a garbage character at the beginning of my response stream. This is preventing me from duming the response directly into the XmlDocument.Load() method. To verify I wrote a console stub and dumped the stream to the screen and it shows as a " " there. I've wo ...Show All
Matthew Halland Messenger variables - IM This - dynamic AppId?
Hi, I am trying to create a service for our users that allows them to share specific dynamic web content with their IM contacts through an activity. The closest equivalent I have found is the IM This function at the foot of MSNBC stories such as http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11783817/ On MSNBC this appears to work by sending the story ID (11783817 in this case) as the AppID to MSN messenger so that the correct story is presented to both users.
