I've compiled some samples shipped with the D10 (december2005), the Tutorial02 for instance. When I try to run the exe-file I get a box saying something like "This software couldn't be started because the d3d10.dll cant be found. This problem might get fixed if you reinstall the software."..![]()
What's wrong what can I do to fix this problem

You do not need to uninstall. The DirectX SDK does not install any D3D10 related binaries on Windows XP operating systems. You just won't be able to run any D3D10 code you've compiled on Windows XP, as Jack notes, you need the December CTP of Windows Vista.

Yes, I have the ordernary Windows XP HomeEdition, I'm sorry to say! Maybe I've missed info at the download site for DirectX10. I guess this means that I'll have to uninstall D10 and reinstal the D9 version
