I have problem installing it cos it always complete straight away. i check the version its still the same.

Anyway, to offer a possible solution - the setup logs show you're installing on XP SP2. DirectX 9.0c shipped as a basic component of SP2, such that you should already have it installed. DirectXSetup is designed to quickly return if it determines that there is no work for it to do - which is probably what you're seeing.
Are you having any problems with code/programs not working Is dxdiag reporting a different version
Also, there are a number of installers around - which one did you use

I've had this issue a few weeks ago. Also, I've seen it on other systems to. The ideea is that on systems with Windows XP SP2, Directx 9.0b (as repordet by dxdiag), after downloading Microsoft DirectXR 9.0c End-User Runtime (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx FamilyId=0A9B6820-BFBB-4799-9908-D418CDEAC197&displaylang=en) when you try to run, it will fail (no error message and dxdiag continue to report as 9.0b).
From what Jack said, my guess is that it will incorrectly detect 9.0b version of DirectX so it will think that there is no work for it to do.
One solution is to uninstall the current version and then to install DirectX 9.0c. (try: "uninstall directx" on google ;-) )

My log file shows very similar things, but when i tried to download directx 9.0c i had this message appear:
"A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid."
After this message appears i can't go any further with the installation.
Also i have problem when trying to install a game. After installation a message appears that says: "cannot find directdraw." Once i have installed the game the computer will keep restarting itself at anytime.
What the hell is going on with my computer... anyone, i'm about ready to throw this thing out of my window!

Hey, first of all I just want to let you know that you won't get any help from these people here. They seem to be angry at anyone looking for this kind of help since they are "developers" but microsoft has a list of directx error codes (too bad it likes a million years old) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q177430/ and under error code 0 it says
0
(SETUP_SUCCESS) Setup of DirectX 5.0 was successful. This message should not be displayed.
So you have no problem, lol. But as you can see that list was made when directx 5.0 was out so I don't know how helpful it is. If you can explain your problem more then maybe I can help you.
