Now that our David has toddled off to Microsoft is there a possibility of a joint book between Miller and Weller I certainly hope so, an awesome combination!
Well, the "Weller" half has been at Microsoft for over 3 years now, so I'm not sure how I've "toddled off" :-)
To be more specific though, I doubt Tom and I will jointly collaborate on a book, because I hate Tom thoroughly...... just kidding :-) Honestly, Tom's knowledge about Managed DirectX is 1000 times greater than mine, so there's not much I could contribute to such a book. The biggest challenge, for both of us, is time. While we appreciate the complimentary comment, I doubt a collaborative book is in the future. We have a hard enough time meeting face to face on a monthly basis, and he's just one floor above me :-)
I guess the book is going to be great anyway. The two first books where to much for beginners. Finaly some more advanced stuff is turning up. I am starting to get tired of porting code from C++ and the unmanaged API..:)
At the moment, neither Tom nor I are engaged in writing a book. I had once considered writing a gaming book for Avalon, but my current work has me too busy. All of my "technical time" now is focused on DirectX and Managed DirectX. I haven't looked at Avalon since I joined the DirectX team.
