.x exporter for 3dsmax 6

Hi,

Anyone know of a good free exporter to export 3ds max 6 models to directx9 .x files
I've seen plugins in directx sdks for max versions 4,5 and 7 but not 6.

I've heard of panda exporter but have also seen many people who have difficuly getting their stuff to export correctly.

    good, but you have to be careful of the dimensions it exports. 3ds uses a very large coordinate system (their standard grid is about 150 units).

    Many people have issues with the exporter that ships with the DirectX SDK.  Most people use the Pandasoft DirectX exporter, which can be found here: http://www.andytather.co.uk/Panda/directxmax.aspx

    The Directx SDK has its own Exporter, search for DirectX Extensions for Discreet 3ds max.
