We have a very interesting project that will require building a custom plugin for Excel and/or custom SmartTags in order to pull out data from several thousand Excel docs saved on our network.
The catch is, that our users will need to continue to use Excel as their front end for the data as we go forward. We need the ability to update the schema (new data points will evolve) and since the Excel docs are so distributed we definitely need to have as much of the business logic server-based to save us updating all those files.
This is still on the drawing board. We need a creative person and problem solver who can write VB.Net (or C#) in their sleep and knows VSTO like the back of their hand.
This is a quick-hit contract, maybe 2 months. But we are willing to pay top-dollar for someone who is a true expert. You would need to relocate to Salt Lake City for the length of the contract.
