I have tried everything I can find but I cannot restore the database from http://msdn.microsoft.com/office/default.aspx pull=/library/en-us/odc_vsto2005_tr/html/OfficeVSTO2005ExcelLabs.asp to sqlserver express.
I have disabled "Shared Memory" in the configuration to get TCP/IP to #1 in the client protocols and yet in the command window I still get [Shared Memory] errors saying the server cannot be found or access is denied.
I've even tried to run the sql statement from a stored procedure in another database in visula studio but I just get an 'unknown os error'.
If anyone can help I'd like to hear from you.

We are updating these labs for RTM and will supply a SQL Server Express database. Until those are live, if you send me your email address, I can send you a SQL script that will create the databases.

The RTM version of the Excel and Word VSTO 2005 labs will be live next week on MSDN. There are SQL scripts in the new version of the labs to create the databases on SQL Express.
