Why, when designing a report, the toolbar with Align Lefts, Align Tops etc is greyed out, but right-click align lefts does work

Anyway to add those features to a toolbar in the IDE

    Oh are you talking about the Visual Studio layout toolbar   If so then no.  The CR report designer has their own toolbars.  Specifically the Crystal Reports - Main toolbar has the align buttons on them.  The MS layout toolbar buttons do not work for objects in the Crystal Report designer.

    MSDN RTM and the included crystal reporter that comes with it...the toolbar align buttons work when I work with microsoft reports, they do nothing in the crystal reports

    Clicking on normally what you would want to align lefts and rights on, the data fields you drag over, the report headings they make when you drop them, anything.

    Does it work for you Because it hasn't ever worked for me.none of the betas or the RTM.

    No, it doesn't have the align lefts, align tops, etc.. in that toolbar..it does has align TEXT Left, Center and Right, but not align a group of data fields or what have you, you have to right click on the databox for that functionality.

    Hello Carl,

    It looks like our report designer doesn't support the Layout tool bar.  I'll try to find out why, but since it is a low priority it may take a while to get an answer.
