Here is a response from another thread.  I sure hope this right because I went ahead and subscribed to the MSDN Pro level.

Here's the info on how VSTO 2005 is packaged:

    * VSTO 2005 (including the Access Developer Extensions) will be part and parcel of Visual Studio Team System.

    * VSTO 2005 (including the Access Developer Extensions) will all be included in the MSDN Professional and Premium subscriptions.

    * VSTO 2005 (including the Access Developer Extensions) will be released as a standalone product.

    I hope this helps!

I hope you were able to access VSTO via your MSDN Subscriber Download by now.

    Good luck with your apps!

I've got the same question....  I've spent over 1.5 hours on the phone with Microsoft customer service, and still can't get a straight answer.  If you look at the chart at http://msdn.microsoft.com/howtobuy/vs2005/editions/pro/ it indicates that VS Pro doesn't contain VSTO, but VS Pro with MSDN Pro Subscription does.  What's worse is I need the Access Developer Extensions and that really causes a memory dump for the reps.  If you look at that chart, the extensions come with VSTO, and thus ought to come with VS Pro Subscription.

Here's hoping a subscriber can shed some light, cause customer service can't....

I am just wondering if the VSTO has not been released yet. I got my MSDN Pro Subscription through my corporate office. (I think they purchase it through our "Select" agreement.)
Anyway, I'll have to go through them to see what's up... unless someone else can answer this.
    Thanks.

    Mike,

I have a MSDN subscription and have downloaded and used VSTO. Other employees in my company do not have a MSDN subscription and would also like to start using VSTO. They have already purchased VS 2005 Professional. All we can seem to find is for them to purchase the individual Visual Studio Tools for Office 2005 edition, which is the same price as Professional edition. Do you know of any other ways to obtain VSTO if you already have Professional edition and do not have a MSDN subscription

    Thank you,
    A.J. Smith
