quick update. I'm still waiting for MS legal to get back to me.

    Legal got back to me.

The End User License Agreement only had verbage concerning microsoft software. We also don't do competitive licenses much anymore at MS so my legal contact couldn't find any information on it.

There is no verbage preventing you from using the competitive product.

Can you explain what a competitive project and competitive product means in this case

  • Hila123

Thanks for the clarification. I'll check with MS legal.

Actually, both should read "competitive product." I'm referring to, if you own Dreamweaver, and buy a competitive upgrade of VS at reduced pricing, does that mean legally you can no longer use Dreamweaver (or whatever the competitive upgrade was from)

    Hi,

Can you send me an email from my blog http://blogs.msdn.com/quanto/ and send me a copy of the End User License Agreement

I talked to Legal and they can't give a definitive answer without reviewing the EULA that you have.

    Thanks,

    Quan
