I am trying to convert my VSTO 2003 projects to VSTO 2005 and failing one after another. VS says it converted them successfully, but the Solutioin Explorer shows they are unavailable. Attached is the log of one of the conversions. If I remove the unavailable converted proejct and try to add it back, then I get the following error:
The operation could not be completed. No such interface supported.
Could anyone offer any hint
Thanks,

I will soon.
Now I am wondering if this problem has anything to do with the source control software - ChangeMan that I have been using.

Hi I had a similar issue and it was related to a COM reference that I had that was causing the problem, I have since restarted the project but was pretty sure this caused the problem

Hi,
It looks that you have both Professional and Visual Studio Tools for Office editions on your machine. Do you see the same issue when creating new VSTO 2005 projects
Have you tried repairing Visual Studio Tools for Office setup

I would like to take a look at the project to repro this issue. Would you zip up the unconverted project and send it to me
Thanks.

What versions of Office do you have installed

I cannot figure out how to send the zip file. There is no button for inserting files. Please advise.
Thanks.

Unfortunately I probably finished all the covnersion by yesterday, but I will take a look at my folders on Monday. I remember there were a few backup folders that I deleted, but may be able to be recovered.

I have no problem in creating new VSTO projects in VS 2005.
When I upgrade my old VSTO projects, in the last step, I am prompted to upgrade to the new default project debugging properties. If I accept the recommendation by clicking "Yes", I will get into the troubles that I described with my first post. If I decline it by clicking "No", then the troubles will not occur. I still have some minor issues, but I can live with them.
