VSTO 2005 with German Office 2003 Installation problem.

Hi,

We installed German version of MS-Office 2003 Professional with SP1. We then installed English version of Visual Studio 2005 and VSTO 2005. When we tried to open the IDE to create a new Excel project we could not able to find any project templates for creating MS-Office application. Please kindly let me know the details in order to resolve this issue.

    When you have installed Office, have you also intall the .NET programmability components

    Yes, we have selected .Net compatibility for Office 2003 Professional (German), and all other required things in order to program with VSTO 2005. But still we are not able to get any project templates of Office applications into our Visual Studio 2005. Please provide us some information in order to solve this problem.

    Is VSTO 2005 is compatible with only English version of Office 2003 Professional Kindly let us know about this....

    Hi

    There is an important step missing from Above before Office Pro you need to install the .NET Framework 1.1 for the PIA's to be installed automatically on installation of office, on dev machines I select install all options of Office. This is likely to be the reason the PIA's arent installed properly I am not sure if they are tied to .NET 1.1 from an installation point of view if only .NET 2 framework is installed.

    I don't think so but I'm quite sure you should be able to have both working together...

    On my computer, I've got a French Office 2003 Professional, and VSTO 2005...

    Here is how I've installed my system:

    - Windows XP
    - Office 2004 Professionnal (French)
    - VS 2005


    And all is good :)
