I've installed, deinstalled and reinstalled at least 3 times now, VS2005 first, then VSS2005. Running VS2005 does not show any items that deal with VSS. Both apps work fine individually, but I cannot access VSS within VS.

Hi Ravi,
I'm not sure I understand your question "can a project have all these editions ". You can create managed web projects with any of these editions.
You should look at this page for differences between Pro and VSTeam editions.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/products/compare/
and at this one for differences between the VSTS Editions
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/products/vsts/compare/
and see if you need the extra features of the Team editions...

Hi,
I get installed VS2005 professional edition , but i don't find visual source safe in it.
Do we need visual source safe sofware separate. ISN't VSS inbuilt in VS2005.
Please reply to me.
Thanks

Hi,
Open VS2005, and under Tools->Options, select the "source control" option.
Make sure that the "current source control plug-in" is the VSS2005 ("microsoft visual source safe")
Ido.

No, VSS2005 is not included with VS2005 Profesional editions. Here is what each version contains http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/products/compare/default.aspx
You'll need to buy VSS separately.

Also,
If 'Source Control' is missing when you select 'Tools/Options', then you need to check the 'Show all settings' checkbox at the bottom of the Options screen.
And make sure you run a VS 2005 edition that supports source control integration (VS Express Editions don't support this integration)
