Hi all,
This is a newbie question, so please bear with me.
I have Visual Studio 2005 and VSIP April 2006 installed on my machine. When I open the Microsoft Document Explorer, I can see the following sections in:
Visual Studio SDK
Help on Help
Why don't I see the other sections like .NET Framework or Visual C# etc. Do I need to install msdn to get these I am confused.
Thanks,
J

Hi J.,
Being a newbie is where we all start, so please don't worry. One of the best ways to solve problems like this is to "backtrack" through your actions. It's similar to finding a lost set of car keys or a misplaced wallet. If you approach it from this angle, there's a good chance you can solve the issue yourself six times out of ten. Also, the experts from the Microsoft Teams will try their best to help you.
With that in mind, could you please give us more info
1. Which version of Visual Studio 2005 did you install
2. Did yoiu install from Microsoft CD's/DVD or from a downloaded image burned to CDs/DVD
3. When you installed VS 2005, which options did you choose to install
4. Did you install the MSDN Library which came with the VS 2005 CDs/DVD, and which options did you choose
If you can supply this and other relevant info, it will help speed up the problem identification and solution process, and maybe you'll even solve it yourself and help others who are in a similar situation!
Kind regards,
