Licencing of Crystal Web Components

Hi!

Suppose an ASP.NET application that incorporates the Crystal Web Viewer components as packaged in VS.NET 2005.

My question is if this can be deployed to a customer as part of the application royalty-free, or if a special licence is needed for that (by MS, Crystal).

Thanks,
Christian.

Licencing of Crystal Web Components

I have looked at Business Objects website on updates / Merge Modules, etc, but we still can't figure out how to run our existing Crystal Reports in VS.NET 2003.   Creating them is much easier in Crystal XI.   We then would like to deploy them using .NET app so we can utilize the reports via the web, but after many futile attempts at trying to understand what's out there on the net to do this, I finally thought I would ask someone who probably knows.

Appreciate any help you can give!

    Hello Christian,

The licensing details are currently being finalized, but they should be very similar to the licensing for Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET 2003.

In addition to Keith's post; one can freely register at the Business Objects site to redistribute a web application to 1 CPU per external customer.
This is the same as in VS.NET 2003.

For more distribution, one can either use Crystal Reports Server or purchase a copy of Crystal Reports Developer.
