We are currently using VSS6 and the database is located on the server (NT4). I know when we installed VSS6, we installed a component on the server itself.
Does VSS2005 also require a server install We plan on upgrading our servers to 2003 in the next quarter. Do we need to wait till then to upgrade VSS also

Hi,
As far as I know, VSS2005 does not work on NT4. We have only tested on Win2000, XP and 2003.
If you plan to enable the server components (LAN booster service, Internet access), you'll definitely need something more recent than Win2000.
