Installing VC ++ runtime Library

Hi

I am trying to run vcredist_x86.exe on a windows xp SP1. I am getting the error

" Error 1723 There is a problem with Windows Installer Package. Adll required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your Support personnel or Package Vendor" But the same package is running Windows XP SP2 Machine.

Is this the known bug .Is there any way to reslove this

Hi All,

I got the answer. If we install MSI 3.1 windows installer and then if we run vcredist_x86.exe. the problem dis appears.
