i have looked at the VS documentation on the Open File dialog and it says that there should be a "Add to Places Bar" item in the Tools menu item in the dialog. I only have Delete and Map Network Place in my drop down. In VS.Net, there was a History button in the Look In bar. I put shortcuts in that to quickly get where i wanted to go. Thank you for your help. Chuck.

Hi,
The documentation is wrong regarding the "Add to Places bar" in the Tools menu item. This exists in the MSO command bar so you can see it in Word, Excel but it was disabled for VS. You need to implement windows namespace extension to enable you to add to "my places".
