  Thanks QuanT for your reply.
  I download the 2005 professional edition and it install ok.
  I think the problem was to open the iso file which I download.
  There are 2 formats to open it I use the bin one which its was wrong.
  
  Now I build my project with professional 2005 but I can't run it
  There is a huge problem in Microsoft versions 2003, 2005
  In VS 6 when the application run and dose not find a dll
  it produce a msg "DLL not found" with the DLL name.
  In version 2003 2005 you get only an exception fileNotFoundException
  without the DLL name.
  So now you need to start to investigate which DLL is missing.
  In 2003 I used a program XmlSerializerPreCompiler.exe which help at that case.
  It dose not help at 2005 !!
  I hope that in 2005 Microsoft will fixed that problem.

  I have Windows XP Home with SP2. I get this same error 2908 followed by 1935. I've cleaned the registry and reinstall again. But I keep getting this error. Please help, thank you!

  What is the exact error message you're seeing when you try running a project
  Are you running it through the IDE or by running the EXE outside of VS

  I installed SP2 but it still did not help.
  I get the same errors, but this time I got more details:
  
  "Microsoft.CompactFramwork.Build.Task,version"8.0.0.0" .... HRESULT 0x8002802F
  
  I tried to run Aaron stebner's clean program: "vs2005_beta_cleanup_tool.exe
  but it still did not help.
  
  i tried to scan the pc and find the installation log file but i did not find any file
  vsmsilog*.txt, netfx.log

  The problem is how to open the iso file

  if you download it from microsoft site.

  If you use the IsoBuster dont use the red button (iso)
