Hi,
I created a new word project from within the Visual Studio IDE. I noticed, that the merged word menus are not accesible, although most of the word functions are accessible via toolbar or context menu.
Is this a bug or did i miss any settings
Thanks,
Klaus

Merged Word Menus are not accessible after creating new word project
Laurent Liegeois
Hi Klaus,
Thanks for your feedback. This sounds like a bug for me. Could you help me to try follow scenarioes in your computer
1. Open a word document in IE to check if the word menu item in IE is accessible or not. You can do this by right click on a word document and select "Open with->Microsoft Office Word.". If the word menu item is not accessible in IE, then the installation or setting of winword must have problem.
2. Create a Excel project in the VS to check if the Excel menu item accessible in VS. We saw same issue in Excel before. User can fix it by deleting the Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\Excel11.xlb But this is the first time we get this in winword.
Thanks

No, the menus seem to be active, they just do not open.
The word root menus even highlight, when you point with the mouse on them.
Where should I send the screenshoot to
(Can't we, btw, attach files in threads, here, or am I simply too blind to find out, how )

Yes, it is. But the hard way.
I had to reinstall my System, and now everything works fine.
Since I participated in the beta tests of vs, I think that it simply was time to "renew" my machine. I had something like 20 installations/deinstallations of vsts during the last 6 months, and even I knew the right deinstallation order, I suppose, cleaning my computer this way was more the necessary.
Having said this, I would have been really interested in knowing what caused the problem, but finally there wasn't any time for experiments left.
Sorry for that - I really could have answered earlier.
Thanks!
Klaus
