Differences between Restoring from SSADMIN and SSRESTOR

I am trying to archive various projects from a SourceSafe database using 6.0c versions. I archived the database through SSADMIN and restore through SSADMIN. During the restore I get many "Project of File not found." messages. I tried restoring through SSRESTOR command-line utility and I get NO errors.

I checked several of the files that show in the SSADMIN restore window and they appear in the database both the main file and the .a or .b file.

The restore is into a new blank SS database. I get the warning "Destination database is not the same as the original. Some links may not be restored." but I think this is normal. Any help would be appreciated.

    Roman,

    I upgraded to 6.0d and the messages still occur in SSADMIN. I did the complete process over using the archive/restore in SSADMIN. The SSADMIN archive gives no errors using SSRESTOR but SSADMIN restore does.

    When I try to "Submit a bug report", The page times out with "The operation has timed out." error message. I have tried many times over the last week.

    Roman,

    I submitted an archive file back in July and I have not heard anything about it. I now went ot the link above and found out I am using a new mechanism "Connect".

    I see no references to SourceSafe to see if anything is happening. I just finally got a little time to re-visit my SourceSafe problem. Can you give me some direction

    I just subbmited a test bug report through this web site and it went trough after I filled all the required fileds.
