Hi,
I sent this on an already established thread. I got a response telling me to check the FAQ and if that doesn't give me an answer to start a new thread. The FAQ didn't solve my issues so I have restated my questions here. I appreciate any help you can give, as I think this program is wonderfull and I would like to be able to use it fully.
I have a couple of dumb questions: a) When I use the ecosystem window there are no plants. How can I introduce them to make a more "hospitable" world when creatures get teleported in b) At the top right of the screen it says "teleports 5 (5/0/5/0). What does this series of numbers mean c) I have no firewall up and it seems that the creatures I "reintroduce" get teleported away or die and my population goes to zero but I don't seem to get any creatures teleported into my computer. What should I do d) What does the "introduce" (not "reintroduce") button allow me to do When I try to use it I get a long message telling me it didn't work. e) Finally, do the creatures evolve when they reproduce
Sorry to flood you with so many questions, but I am new to the program and very intrigued by it.
Thankshe

b) What is the value of the Peer count You may need to just allow the client to run for a bit. Also, if you are at work or school, you may be behind a firewall that is blocking the Terrarium ports. Are you at home when playing this Are you behind a dsl/cable modem router

By the way, my background is biology and medicine and I am very eager to fully use your program from that stand point. I think I might be of some help to you guys.
Thanks

Regarding a) The Reintroduce Creatures Dialog for my terrarium has plants but when I use it for the ecosystem there are only herbivores and carnivores but no plants.
Regarding c) I don't think I am behind a NAT but I still don't receive creatures. What should I do
Thanks

b) To/From/Success/Failed most likely
c) Re-read the NAT FAQ since right now its the only help we can offer
d) Introduce lets you select a creature assembly. It should give you information about why it didn't work. Currently if you try to load a Whidbey compiled assembly it will fail without giving much error information and this is known.
e) Creatures have the capability of behavioral evolution or genetic memory. This is described in the Advanced Developer Documentation, which may or may not be active.
