Hi guys
I'm new to terrarium, but have everything set up for 1.2.
Wrote a small simple creature and connected to the exosystem. I now have about 200 "naka"'s sitting around on my screen. They dont eat, they dont move, there is no food, but they multiply every few minutes.
How can they breed if there is no food They just sit there

I tried also to make eaters eat only food they actually killed, but it didn't work well when I tested it in my local terrarium. I have to come up with a better algorithm for that. My eaters' priority is to eat a lot of dead nakas since every 2nd naka in my ecosystem dies of sickness.
Over the last two days, about 1500 of eaters were teleported away, but I don't see them in the stats. I assume they are all eaten by overwhelming maris (and nakas), although I know stats are not exactly right, since I maintain 60 eaters_v2d constantly in ecosystem, and these numbers are not even showing up. Anyway, one eater (or even 10) still can't survive in the company of 100s of mari's and nakas.

I sliced the code, and improved my creature making it a little more aggressive than “mari”, sacrificing some anti-naka qualities. This didn’t bother me so much, since I still needed nakas for food. That’s how eg_nakaeater_v2* was born. In order to jumpstart them into the world, I re-introduced a dozen assemblies of eg_nakaeater_v2*. I made them all hostile to each other, too. Eg_nakaeater_v2d is now successfully eating nakas in my terrarium open to ecosystem, and drove “mari” out completely, killing teleported almost instantly. After 24 hours, I still have 300 nakas in my world, and around 60 of my naka eaters. Nakas don’t slow down, even with “mari” out of the picture. Damn it!
In attempt to leverage the ratio of nakas and eaters, I’m trying to crack the friend recognition feature of naka, synchronizing left antennae movement, unsuccessfully. I think the author could have disabled the friendly function, or I’m just dumb, but I’ll keep trying. Please post any ideas. I’m also trying to work on dna passed to the children with info about nakas. I’m waiting for the server version to come out, because it’s really annoying to have two types of creatures dominate the whole ecosystem. Instead of creating my little smart buggy, I have to run around figuring out how to fight hundreds of nakas at a time.

I have to admit, the bugs are deadly. Great reproduction rate, too, even with system making them sick constantly.
People started to get a taste of the "mari" source code you posted back in January. I already see "mari" clones around my ecosystem. My eaters kill them, since they are aparently exact copies of "mari", like croncek, for example, but I see more and more of these around.
