Folks,
Ive created a enterprise level code group for the intranet zone with certain SQL Client and security permissions .
I take this out of development onto a production server where I have the same code group set up. I still get securtiy exceptions when I try to run the assembly from the server.
When I check in caspol the only code group that my assembly belongs to is the "all code" group. I woiuld have thought that all assemblies created within my intranet fall into the above code group. I obviously assume too much. What am I missing
Cheers
Mick

Code Groups: What am I doing wrong?

Sorry if Im missing the obvious here. Im having murder getting windows forms deployed using smart clients etc. on our local intranet, so thanks for your patience. A question. Say I sign an assembly, then use the security wizard to have my development machine trust all assemblies created with this signed assemblies key. If I then create a security deployment package on this machine, why is it that when I install this security deployment package on a client, I still get security exceptions when trying to use any SQL functionality. I have to manually go around the client machines, setting them to trust all assemblies created with the key of this assembly via the wizard.
I know Im missing something obvious here.
Thanks
Mick
