For those who don't read blogs and don't know yet: Microsoft released Beta 2 of Visual Studio 2005 this weekend: http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/vs2005/
So far, it's only available to MSDN subscribers, but will be released to the general public later (for the European, Middle East and African area on April 25th). If you don't have a subscription, you can also download the updated Express editions.
What's nice is about it is the Go Live License, which basically allows you to deploy your .NET 2.0 applications in a production environment.

Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 released!

You can't upgrade from previous versions (pre Beta 2), there's a special list of things to check before installing beta 2.
I guess VS2003 and Whidbey Beta 2 can be installed side by side, I didn't have any problems with Beta 1.

Let me know if there are any issues with upgrading current installs. i'm a little agro that my lappie needs to be reformatted when the release 2.0 comes out already (yeah yeah, I know it says not to install on an important machine).

I'm the type of guy that will buy a new laptop if it takes too long to start up. :)
